So I’m on to Day 3 and 4 of the Donate:365 Challenge.
Please do not think I forgot about yesterday and combined the two. I choose not to write or post on Sunday — you know, the Sabbath and all. So I will be combining either the Saturday/Sunday posts or the Sunday/Monday posts.
For Day 3, I donated a picture that a dear friend gave me, which brought up a lot of “approval” feelings resulting in a post I will hopefully get to later today. I never, ever want to hurt anyone’s feelings. So if you are reading this, and I happen to donate something you gave me, PLEASE know I loved it, I treasured it, and it served its season in my home. My love is with you; not with the stuff you gave me.
On that note, on to the photo:
It has beautiful calligraphy, and is a paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 13: 4-13. Here it is in case you need a little love today. 🙂
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (NIV)
What a beautiful verse. I will read that again and again today. Today is a day of love, and I’m passing it on.
For Day 4, I chose a shirt someone gave me. Everything I have is become someone gave it to me. I adore this shirt, but I realized on laundry day that I do not have enough hangers if all my clothes are clean.
How sad is that?
I had to stop washing!
You will be seeing a lot of clothing in these posts now. LOL
Here’s is my sweet little shirt that is going to a new home. If you live by me (translates as “you know me.”) and want this, let me know! I will gladly bless you with it!
Day 3 & 4 are done. Now what should I donate for Day 5?
