It’s Day 64 of my Donate:365 journey! I’m already thinking about what I will do when my 365 days are through.
Maybe start again?
HA! I hope not! The point is to not have that much stuff to get rid of. but as the holiday accumulation season approaches, only God knows what I will have planned for 301 days from now.
13 You should know better than to say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to the city. We will do business there for a year and make a lot of money!” 14 What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears. 15 You should say, “If the Lord lets us live, we will do these things.” 16 Yet you are stupid enough to brag, and it is wrong to be so proud. 17 If you don’t do what you know is right, you have sinned.
On that note, we will just live for today, for “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!” And, I truly rejoice in today. I rejoice that my Savior came to earth for me. I rejoice that I live in a country where I can worship my God and His TRUTHS. I pray we always have the liberties that this nation was founded on.
Today, I rejoice in giving away three white towels that we do not need. I am giving these to a local, no-kill animal shelter. If you have extra towels and blankets that aren’t quite nice enough anymore to pass on to the humans in your life, please consider your local animal shelter. They always need them in abundance.
I love this time of year. It forces us to fall in love with Jesus all over again. How could you not fall in love with a tiny baby? I think that’s why He came the way He did. A tiny, innocent baby. Everybody loves a baby.
I wonder what it was like for Jesus as a child. It says that He was without sin. And, that He grew in favor with God and man as he grew. He was a good kid. Listened to His mom and earthly dad, and did was He was supposed to do. He submitted to authority, respected His parents, and lived the way we are to live. He made it simple.
Why do we make it so hard? He walked every step we walked. He knows temptation, weakness, selfishness, anger, hatred. Yet, He always triumphed over it. And, we can do it too. That is why He did it. To show us it could be done.
Jesus loves you. He loves you so much that He came to earth to sacrifice His life for you. He lived all that time on the earth knowing exactly what would happen in the end. And, He loved you through it all!
Be blessed tonight.
